Jamie is the Creative Queen

Jamie Marshall is the owner of The Creative Queen 0211 which is a graphic design service which is located in St David’s, Christ Church.

The former student of Garrison Secondary now renamed Graydon Sealy Secondary School has been operating her business which provides posters, logo designs, flyers, banner designs, album covers, T-shirt designs, menus, curriculum vitae, business letter heads, live posters, tribute videos, commercials, live wallpapers, and music videos for the past seven months.

Marshall said she decided to become an entrepreneur after a friend asked her to do a logo design for her which quickly turned into her providing services for other members of her friends’ family.

“What led me to create my business was a friend of mine asked me to create a logo for a DJ she was the manager of. She knew I was creative as I would show some of my graphic designs on social media. She paid me for the logo design I created and soon after I was creating graphic designs for her, her niece, and the DJ also. She encouraged me to establish my own graphic design services so I can work from home and also take care of my grandmother as I already had basic knowledge about entrepreneurship since I was a participant in the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme. I decided to give it a try and was supported by my mother who assisted me in the initial process of setting up the business,” she said.

Marshall said one of the highlights of her career thus far has been having customers who praise her for her work and constantly support her businesses.

“I have priced my services at a reasonable price so that individuals who have a low budget can have their graphic design services done and know that they are not breaking the bank. I have found this to be one of the reasons many persons patronize my service as they know they are getting quality services at an affordable cost,” she said.

What is next for the owner of The Creative Queen 0211?

Marshall said she is seeking to provide printing services such as printing t-shirts, mugs, caps, and canvas.

But who is Jamie Marshall outside of being an entrepreneur?

“I am passionate about family. I love spending time with my family, friends, and my boyfriend. I enjoy playing video games, listening to music, and shopping.
