Eight Success Factors For a Healthy Life

Edison Bynoe is the author of the book Eight Success Factors for a Healthy Life. The book which was published on November 3rd 2021 by Emunah Publishing seeks to empower persons to be successful in different areas of their life.

“Part of my calling as a minister is to disciple and to empower persons. Empowerment speaks to equipping persons to be successful in different areas of their life. When we look through the Word of God, we see people that were successful in different aspects of their lives. That prompted me to develop a resource that would cause people to reflect on their lives and to see how they could make their lives more successful,” he said.

The book which has eight chapters speaks to various areas of life and is packed with scriptures that can assist persons in becoming successful in their daily lives.

“The book is intended to look at different areas of life and how God wants us to operate in these areas. For example, the spiritual factor speaks of developing an intimate relationship with God, which is foundational to true success. Success without God is simply temporal success that has no eternal value. The family factor shows us the importance of relationships with our family and how to be more effective in those relationships,” he said.

Bynoe who is the outgoing principal of the West Indies School of Theology, Barbados campus said that the book is not only intended to be inspiring but uses spiritual truths that have helped generations of believers to be successful.

This book isn’t simply intended to be inspiring; it is intended to look at scriptural “secrets” that have helped generations of believers to be successful. Scripture doesn’t only teach us what God requires of us, it is also inspirational and motivational. It gives God’s principles for all areas of our lives. As a minister, my responsibility is to teach people the whole counsel of God and how it applies to all aspects of life. I have been a minister of the gospel for just over twenty years, obtaining my first ministry credential in 1999 with the Assemblies of God denomination, United States. When I returned to Barbados, I took up credentials with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies. I have served this Fellowship as a pastor, director of Church Ministries, principal of the West Indies School of Theology, Barbados campus, a lecturer, and currently as the Assistant Bishop,” he said.

The former Harrison College student said that the eight factors for a successful life are spirituality, family, finances, leadership, personal growth, health, relationship, and work.

“In this book, I have chosen to identify eight areas and to give principles that would help us to be successful in those eight areas. Those areas include spirituality, family, finances, leadership, personal growth, health, relationship, and work. The book is not intended to be exhaustive, but to look at some of the major areas of life and what God intends for these areas. Success in these areas typically leads to a successful life,” he said.

Bynoe stated that the book took him about a year to complete and what he wants his readers to take away from the book is that success is biblical.

“Success is biblical, but we need to define it based on Scripture. The problem with secular perspectives on success is that they are not balanced, and they exclude God or have a distorted view of who God really is. We can be successful in life and reflect the glory of God to those around us. When God created man, He created him in His image and gave him dominion over the earth. Man was to be God’s steward in the earth and to be successful in all aspects of life,” he said.

Bynoe said that his book is sold primarily at this time on international publishing platform Amazon. However, he wanted to share with persons who are reading his story that success is a journey.

“Success is a journey. It is not something that you realize with one leap. As you increasingly surrender to God, He takes you on a journey that will produce incredible personal transformation. Don’t allow fear and past disappointment to stop you. Pick yourself up. Try again. Don’t give up! Don’t let up!” I simply want people everywhere to succeed in the way that God wants them to succeed and not to be ashamed to be successful,” he said. (Write Right PR Services)
